The Big Apple

Working my way through the US states next on my list of conquests was New York. Visiting with my sister and good friend Déla was a really great week and an amazing experience. I'm going to do a more detailed account of certain experiences later but for now here's a short collection of photos which by no means do the trip justice.

oh and check out Déla's blog here!

Thursdays

Thursdays mark the end of the paying work week. This means I only work 4-6 hours instead of 8-13 and I get to come home early. For some reason on these days I find myself taking numerous meaningless photos. It could be because I like to make the most of the fact I've come home when the sun is actually shining. On the topic of work, I actually love it, I love the people I'm meeting and the little kids that adore me, the strange old men that confuse me and the ones that make me laugh out loud. I love the new friendships and the fact that if I was a good writer I could write a novel purely on the people I have encountered. I'm not a fan of the newly developed biceps I have or waking up at 3.30am every morning and getting home at 8.30 some nights. But it keeps me busy and stops me over analysing the move to America in August, and the implications that's going to have for me.
