hello frisco!

After winning the semi-finals last night and continuing our undefeated season, the bearkats are off to the FCS national champtionship game...in football that is ;)
So proud of our boys and so proud to be a bearkat...also very proud of the fact that I GOT ON ESPN!
here is a montage of our journey :P

look out frisco...the bearkats are coming!!!

it's beginning to look a lot like christmas!

still no clue where i will be on christmas day;
but at this stage it is highly likely i will be hiding under my cover trying to forget about the fact i won't be spending it at home with my family. i feel like a grinch refusing offers to go home with friends, but it just wont be the same as long as it isn't with them :(
for the meanwhile though i am thoroughly enjoying the lead up!

bloody MLA

i hate feeling like i can see the light at the end of the tunnel because i only have two more pages left of my 10 page paper to write and then having the realisation i still have to do my works cited and in text citation :(

hurry up holidays!

rain makes everything better

after a morning slogging away at a research paper I should have finished weeks ago, a trip out to the deer lease was just the ticket. everything looks prettier after it has rained.

here we go again

Yet again I have been inspired by one of my close friends to retry my hand at blogging. Mind you the lapse between blogs this time around is hardly as bad as last time. I find it odd that I'm surrounded by hundreds of people every day, yet the ones I am closest to are those that are scattered thousands of kilometers from me. Don't you just love how you can talk to people once or twice a month, and they get everything you are trying to feebly convey over a dodgy internet connection and a scratchy skype call. Those are the people I truly love.
They are the ones who can make any situation seem a little less worse.
And they are the people I miss most living here.

I can't yet post any pictures to update you on the exciting life of a college student because in an exciting turn of events my laptop has died :( But don't fret, they will come soon enough and I cannot promise you will be wowed, but at least you will see what I see.

just quietly

i'm missing america.
i'm missing having something to do doing the day.
i'm missing the people who have come to be like family to me.
i'm missing my independence.
i'm missing him.

but i am still ridiculously happy to be home for awhile.

ROAD TO THE RING!

So conference has started. We played our third duel match against Nicholls today and are now officially 2-1 which is not a bad start. Losing against Lamar last week was not enjoyable but I really do have the best team imaginable ^_^

Also Spring break started today and it sucks so much that I'm stuck in Huntsville because of tennis :( but at least I can get my tan on?

On a side note, my boyfriend is the best ever because he sat out in the freezing, windy cold in Beaumont last weekend for 6 hours while I battled first through a doubles match, and then my three sets of singles :)

I will write my paper next I promise.

I wish I was courageous so I could be exciting.

Do you ever meet people who leave you going 'WOW'. I meet quite a few of those people, many in the form of my good friends, and many more while I walk through campus everyday. I think its one of the perks of being in America, the population has a wider availability of 'wierd'. And I refer to wierd in a completely positive sense for those of you who may read this and immediately become offended.

 We call this team bonding.

I now love this lake.

Jet Lag and other things

4am. Yes 4am. I am awake at 4am and completely unable to sleep because of Jet Lag.

Due to the "inspiration" of Musu, I have decided to resurect my miserable excuse for a blog. My last post was about 7 months ago, and alot has changed. Mainly that I am now residing in Texas, USA and attending Sam Houston State University. Here is a quick snapshot of my last 7 months:
 march.
 april.
 may.
 june.
 july.

 august.
 september.
 october.
 november.
december.

And now that I'm up to date, its January, 2011, I'm a month from 19 life is moving unbelievably fast! I'm loving how much i've grown so far and all the new amazing people that have come into my life. I'm hating the fact that the same problems keep arising and I seen to have an uncanny knack for choosing idiots who treat me as though I'm a useable object.

But all this is going to change in 2011, I will become a newer, better, more accomplished version of my former self. Hence my new years resolutions:
  1. I will not eat anything purchased from McDonalds, KFC or Burger King.
  2. I will do at least 60 sit ups each day.
  3. I will go into relationships with full disclosure.
  4. My prayer life will become more active.
