    I think it's safe to say I've managed both of those in the last month or two. Hence the absence from my blog (AGAIN) 
    
    
    First of all, things are different because I've returned to Texas without my other half. Luke came home with me over the summer...and stayed! So now I'm back and adjusting to living life 'single' again for a year as well as dealing with a definite long distance (long term) relationship. 
    
    
    I have different roommates (partially) and I'm in a new apartment. Not to mention I'm a JUNIOR! Halfway through my college career and I'm still not exactly sure what I'm going to do post graduation. But I still have two years to think about that...right? 
    
    
    I'm attempting to change myself a little this year and be healthier, better organized, and there for more people. So far it's going alright, I've lost 4kgs since being back at school :) but I have a few more to lose before I'm at my goal weight. In doing so I've been cooking more and my food is actually pretty decent! I daresay good. I've been pre-reading (which is an alien concept to me) and it's paying off. I already got some extra credit! 
    
    
    Missing home terribly, but the routine is coming back and I'm losing myself in daily activities...and going to bed early!

The Big Apple

Working my way through the US states next on my list of conquests was New York. Visiting with my sister and good friend Déla was a really great week and an amazing experience. I'm going to do a more detailed account of certain experiences later but for now here's a short collection of photos which by no means do the trip justice.

A little bit of orange

I finished my summer class :)
So now all that's left for me to do is impatiently wait for my grades.
I'm spending the next four days in Orangfield with my lovely man and his family then it's back to Huntsville to pack, clean, pack.
Déla flies in on the 3rd and Liz is getting back from Indiana so we can all experience our first 4th of July together, then after that it's on to the big apple!

But now for another update, last weekend Luke, Liz and I went for a little trip to Austin. We visited the Capitol, the Bob Bullock Museum and on Sunday Luke and I went to the Longhorn Caverns. Oh! and Autumn came to see us :)

On a side note, I've rediscovered my love for the Cat Empire...magnificent.

Summer stitch

So I'm halfway through summer and I must say I've got that semi-bored, semi-drained feeling.
I think this is partially to do with the fact I decided to take a summer class...
BUT, it has been awesome so far :)
